This is the warmest sleeping bag in the collection, meticulously crafted for the harshest and most unforgiving conditions found during Antarctic expeditions and climbs on 8,000-metre peaks.

As part of the Extreme Expedition sleeping bag series, the Redline has been engineered for sustained use in polar regions and at the highest altitudes.

It features 1,282 grams of ultra-high quality, minimum 800-fill power European goose down, all ethically sourced and CODEX-approved. This is combined with a lightweight yet durable 10-denier GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER® outer shell, offering superb warmth in punishingly cold temperatures while maintaining excellent breathability and water resistance.

Like all models in the Extreme Expedition range, the Redline incorporates the brand’s most intricate baffle design. Across the chest and upper legs, V-shaped baffles are used to enhance down overlap and eliminate cold spots. In the centre of the bag, trapezoid baffles prevent the down from migrating, preserving uniform insulation. Full-length baffles along both sides help maintain the bag’s efficient box-wall construction. The hood employs a complex seven-baffle system to ensure concentrated warmth around the head, essential for long-term cold exposure. Meanwhile, the anatomically contoured foot box features six baffles to direct warmth to the feet, where it is often needed most.

The distribution and density of down are carefully tailored throughout the sleeping bag. Denser down is positioned underneath to counteract compression, while the upper sections are designed to maximise loft and thermal efficiency. Inside, the tried-and-tested EXL® elasticated stitching system works to minimise dead air space, reduce draughts, and lift the inner fabric away from the down, encouraging full loft and superior warmth.

A full-length Gemini™ zip baffle greatly reduces heat loss along the main opening—traditionally one of the most vulnerable areas. The magnetic Lode Lock™ closure sits low-profile for comfort and ease, and its intuitive design, along with the collar drawcords, allows for smooth operation in the dark. For added practicality, the Redline also features an internal mesh pouch and a secure zipped pocket to keep essential items close at hand.

The Extreme Expedition fit provides generous space for comfortable sleeping, and easily accommodates extra down layers when required. A large, breathable GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER®-lined foot box allows room for storing boot liners or damp clothing, without compromising insulation.

With a Good Night’s Sleep Temperature of -45°C (-49°F), the Redline is an exceptionally warm, dependable, and hardwearing sleeping bag, purpose-built for those venturing into the coldest corners of the world.

detail shot Vertically aligned V-baffles on the chest and foot piece, 14:7cm Trapezoid baffles throughout all other parts of the bag results in minimal down migration and maximum possible warmth in all situations.
detail shots Our Lode Lock collar closure with its auto-locating closure combines all the advantages of a magnetic fastener with those of a mechanical lock. Its one-handed quick release closure uses magnets to draw the locking mechanism together and ensure that once connected it cannot be accidentally opened.
detail shot 7 baffles provide exceptional down control for performance and excellent insulation. The DC7 LV hood reduces weight, has less deformation when cinched down small, and offers single handed closure and easy-run dual tether draw cords for greater ease of use in extreme conditions.
