An excellent all-purpose sleeping bag, perfectly suited for general mountaineering and lower-altitude trekking adventures. Thanks to its tapered shape, this robust bag is a great choice for those keen to keep their pack weight down.

Blending premium down insulation with construction techniques refined through demanding expeditions, alongside a tough, water-resistant outer shell, the Glacier 450 proves to be an adaptable companion for mountaineering, trekking, and climbing trips where the temperature drops below freezing once the sun sets.

With 465 grams of minimum 700-fill power duck down that meets the ethical DOWN CODEX standard, this bag delivers superb warmth without unnecessary bulk. Its outer shell features 30-denier DRILITE® LOFT™ fabric with a recycled face, offering a lightweight yet water-resistant barrier against the elements.

Trapezoid baffles across the top of the bag are designed to maintain loft, prevent cold spots, and stop the down from shifting. At the foot, a six-baffle design ensures warmth is focused where it matters most—around the feet, especially important in sub-zero environments. The hood incorporates a five-baffle structure that maintains an even down distribution, providing lasting warmth and effective protection over extended use.

Inside, the well-proven EXL® elasticated stitching system reduces dead airspace, limits drafts, and draws the inner fabric away from the down to allow for full loft and maximum warmth. A full-length Gemini™ zip baffle guards against heat loss along the entry point and is reinforced to avoid snagging in the zip. The low-profile magnetic Lode Lock™ fastening and collar drawcords are both efficient and user-friendly, even in the dark.

Shaped to the Alpine tapered fit for enhanced thermal efficiency and reduced weight, and with a Good Night’s Sleep Temperature rated at -9°C (16°F), the Glacier 450 is an ideal choice for summer alpine climbs, general mountaineering, as well as lower-altitude backpacking, trekking, and camping.

Technology

Down Cycle
The recycled Down Mountain Equipment use comes entirely from post-consumer goods - unwanted clothing and bedding collected by waste recycling companies.

Down 700
Down is the finest insulator. Its warmth-to-weight ratio, compressibility, long lifespan, and softness are yet to be matched by manmade insulations. For all but the most serious expeditions, Duck Down is a great choice for both insulated clothing and equipment.

Drilite
Drilite® is part of the exclusive range of breathable and waterproof fabrics used in this product. In this range of fabrics is everything we have learnt about comfort and protection in the mountains. A waterproof membrane provides all the protection you need yet measures a minuscule fifteen microns thick. It allows to make jackets light enough for mountain athletes, packable enough for alpine hikers and tough enough for serious mountain routes.

Fair Wear
Fair Wear ensures that the clothing is produced under high standards that promote ethical working conditions.
